IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)
Infrastructure as a service allows full control over maintenance and software environments such as updating the operating system or install any platform they need without any physical hardware. Think of IaaS as renting or buying a physical server in the cloud.
Why does IaaS matter in a small business?
The maintenance of physical hardware is obsolete. These virtual machines allow full functionality. If your industry requires full-control of it’s server resources, yet still need the scalability of the cloud. IaaS will allow this. There are a myriad of options to choose from–select any resource from the number of processors to the capacity. If you have a full-time IT person they can even perform updates to the operating system as they allow you to maintain control of your software environment. With IaaS you will not longer have to worry about natural disasters or keeping the servers cool in a climate controlled environment.
